Our Custom Item Pricing feature allows you to customize inventory item billing prices specific to a customer, or by a price type. When you are adding line items to an invoice and you choose the item that you altered, the new price will show up on the invoice instead of the standard selling price.
If no custom prices have been set up for items for a customer, MRM will use the original standard selling price. Although the price automatically defaults to either the standard or custom billing price, you may still alter it on the individual invoice.
For example, Item A has a default price of $10.00. You would like ABC Company to have a custom price for this item of $9.00, XYZ Incorporated to have a custom price of $8.50, and A1 Company to have the default price. This is easily done through the Item Pricing Type feature.
To enter custom item pricing for a customer:
- Navigate to File – New Item – Pricing Type
- The New Pricing Type form appears
- This form allows you to create a distinct pricing type for different customers. For example, if some of your customers are non-profit organizations, you may wish to create Pricing Type for them that has reduced rates.
- Select the Department and Call Type that corresponds to the attributes that this Pricing Type will be designated for. You can do this by choosing items from the drop-down menus for these fields.
- Select the Part Numbers for each labor type. Do this by selecting Part Numbers from each labor type’s dropdown menu.
- When you’re done selecting everything, click the Save button. Your Pricing Type will be named after it’s Department and Call Type Fields.
- Click Close to exit.
